Collection: Santiago Costales

This artist (Madrid, 1959) began by studying Law and then graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid, specializing in sculpture.

His work is primarily based on commissioned sculptures and the creation of limited-edition series sculptures, as well as landscape sculpture. He blends classicism with the 21st century in a constant and fruitful dialogue, where his portraits, executed in sculpture and drawing, exude an elegance shrouded in mystery .

Her work has been exhibited at the Santander Biennial (1990); the Mariano Benlliure Sculpture Competition (1991); the Galería del Progreso, Madrid (1994); the Galería Piamonte, Madrid (2003); the Rafael de Penagos Drawing Competition (2004); the Exit Art Gallery Exhibition, Adolfo Domínguez Foundation (2012); the Jesús Otero Museum Exhibition, Santillana del Mar (2014); and in a solo exhibition at the Casa de Cantabria Gallery. Her work is currently also on display at the Ansorena Gallery.
